A Scenic Journey with My Wife Around Southern Luzon’s Finest Roads to arrive at Mother of All Asia with a grateful heart.
Holy Week has always been one of the best times for Filipino riders to hit the open road, and this year was no exception. Together with my wife, we saddled up for a memorable Holy Thursday ride to Lobo, Batangas. Heading towards it’s famous tourist spot Mother of All Asia Shrine, a place of peace, faith, and stunning ocean panoramic views. The ride wasn’t just about the destination — it was about the experience, the journey, and the bond we strengthened along the way.

Route Overview
Our route was a favorite Southern Luzon DIY loop (Cavite- Batangas) among weekend warriors:
Starting Point: Rosario, Cavite
Scenic Stretch: Tagaytay–Talisay Road
Road Stretch: tagaytay, Talisay, Stotomas, Tanauan,Lipa, Anilao, Batangas city, Tabangao, Lobo.
Loop Through: Calaca, Tuy, Nasugbu – Ternate.

With every curve and climb, the ride offered postcard-perfect views, cool mountain breezes, and quick stops for local eats and photo ops. Of course don’t forget the coffee barako of Batangas.
The Ride Experience:
Passing through Laurel and Agoncillo, we reached Lobo, Batangas, where the Mother of All Asia Shrine stood gracefully against the backdrop of Batangas Bay. It was a humbling experience, seeing this massive statue. Taking a moment for reflection with my wife. A little prayer of appreciation and thanksgiving for the safe ride. The moment of quiet and solemnity of the place was perfect for Holy Thursday.
“Carving curves at Tagaytay Ridge with the breathtaking Taal view by our side. This is what freedom on two wheels feels like.”
Best Stops & Highlights:
Breakfast at a roadside carinderia in Tagaytay — hot tapsilog and kapeng barako.
View deck stop at Tagaytay ridge — perfect photo spot of Taal Volcano.
Chill ride along Talisay–Laurel coastal road — with calm lake waters beside us.
Mother of All Asia Shrine in Lobo — solemn visit and a must-see landmark.
Late lunch at a beachside eatery in Nasugbu — fresh seafood and halo-halo.
The Bond and the Bike:
This ride wasn’t just about the roads or the scenery. It was about sharing a passion for riding with someone you love. The joy on my wife’s face as we cruised through breezy coastal roads and mountain passes made every kilometer worth it. Riding as a couple brings a different kind of peace — no words needed, just two hearts and a single journey. A therapy indeed. A stress reliever and an unwinding journey.

Final Thoughts:
Our Holy Thursday Southern Luzon loop was a ride to remember. It reminded us why we ride — for adventure, for faith, for freedom, and for love. If you’re looking for a route that combines mountain roads, coastal views, spiritual stops, and endless adventure, this Rosario–Tagaytay–Lobo–Nasugbu–Ternate loop is worth adding to your ride bucket list.
Ride safe, mga ka-rides! See you on the road.
